In
1927, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a famous on-screen romantic pair.
Lina, however, mistakes the on-screen romance for real love. When Don
and Lina's latest film is transformed into a musical, Don has the
perfect voice for the songs. But Lina - well, even with the best efforts
of a diction coach, they still decide to dub over her voice, and that's
just where the story becomes interesting...

Professor Henry Higgins takes a bet from Colonel Pickering that he can
transform unrefined, dirty Cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle into a
lady! He does, and thus young aristocrat Freddy Eynsford-Hill falls
madly in love with her. But when Higgins takes all the credit and
forgets to acknowledge her efforts, Eliza angrily leaves him for Freddy,
and suddenly Higgins realizes he's grown accustomed to her face and
can't really live without it.

Bus mechanics strike up a deal with London Transport. They drive a
double decker bus around Europe. While on the road in France they pick
up 3 ladies whose car breaks down and offer to take them to their next
singing job in Athens. They also pick up a stowaway. A young, American
boy. Meanwhile, a young American female singer has gone missing. Her
mother and her aid take the story to the press and it makes the front
page. They do all they can to make the story run for as long as
possible. We find out the young American boy is actually the young
American girl who is missing. Mayhem ensues...
